Joseph and Andrew were brothers. The Cvengros connection is from their mother Maria Hresko, who married Joseph Cvengros (died in 1883) and Mathew Stupak. She had Jan, Zuzana, Josef, Stephen, and Stefan w/ her 1st husband and Joseph, Andrew, and Anna w/ Mathew Stupak. I am looking for info on Maria Hresko.

Interested in Stupaks that descended from Joseph and Annie Stupak (Ironwood, MI in 1910; Cicero, IL in 1920; insurance agent) and Andrew and Josephine Stupak (Andrew single in 1910 Ironwood, MI - a miner all his life; married in 1920 and 1930 Ironwood, MI). Were Joseph and Andrew related? Andrew's kids went to Milwaukee or Gladstone, MI. Joseph's went to Twin Cities, Oklahoma, Florida, Illinois, etc. Joseph and Andrew immigrated 5 years apart to Ironwood, MI. But did not share same household in 1910. Might be brothers. Might be cousins. Might be kissing cousins. There's a Cvengros connection in there somewhere. Any connections out there? Hopefully, John Speight (see msg posted by David Zupan. We're chasing the same folks.)

Did you ever find the information you were seeking on your Stupak ancestor?
I'm a volunteer at a local Family History Center of the LDS Church and was working with someone last Saturday who has Cvengros and Stupak ancestors also. He found them in the Roman Catholic parish records of Markusovce, Slovakia; formerly Márkus-Csépánfalu, Szepes, Hungary. I've seen the baptism records for most of the children of Stephan Czvengross and Maria Hresko on the microfilm. And also baptism records for two of the children that Maria Hresko had with her second husband, Mathias (Mathew) Sztupak: Joseph and Andrew. In these records also is the marriage record for Maria Hresko and Joseph Czvengross in 1874 and the marriage record for Maria Hresko Czvengross to Mathias Sztupak.
Let me know if you'd like further details. The LDS microfilm numbers for the films of these parish records are: 1739642, 1739643, 1739644 and 1739645.
