ASHEBORO — Ina Vandella VonCannon Briles, 90, of 500 Mountain Top Drive, Asheboro, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005, at Clapp’s Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Science Hill Friends Meeting, where she was a member, with the Rev. Lowell McNanney, Pastor Brady Morrison and Evan McElreath officiating. Burial will be in the meeting cemetery.

She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of Kermit Briles and a seamstress.

Surviving are daughters, Doris B. Smith, and Reita B. Perdue, both of Asheboro; son, Dwain V. Briles of Denton; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, other times at the home of Reita Perdue, 4010 Old N.C. 49, Asheboro.

Memorials may be made to Science Hill Friends Meeting, Building Fund, c/o David Briles, 4245 Old N.C. 49, Asheboro, N.C. 27205.
