Winston-Salem, NC-- Michael Randolph Reynolds, 57, died Friday in New Port Richey, Fla., after he was hit by a car as he crossed a street. He was a grandson of R.J. Reynolds Sr., founder of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co.

Reynolds was born in Sapelo Island, Ga., to the late Richard Joshua Reynolds Jr. and the late Marianne Byrne O'Brien Reynolds. He was a Vietnam veteran and was self-employed.

He is survived by a sister, Irene Reynolds of Emmetten, Switzerland; two brothers, Patrick Cleveland Reynolds of Brentwood, Calif., and William Neal Reynolds of Winston-Salem, N.C.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Reynolds Family Cemetery at Reynolds Homestead in Critz, Va. Burial will be in the Reynolds family cemetery.
